If you are expecting to register a new ECT and/or Mentor to join the September 2024 cohort for their Early Career Induction, and you wish Redhill Teaching Hub to provide either the ECF or Appropriate Body Service, then please find more information below.
When to register
From this morning, Monday 24th July 2024, the DfE will begin contacting named Induction Tutors, or those named on Get Information About Schools, asking them to register if they have new ECTs or Mentors starting in the September 2024 cohort. If your Induction Tutor has changed, you can update this information here.
The Appropriate Body Service
All ECTs must be registered with an Appropriate Body Service to commence induction. During registration, you will be asked to confirm your Appropriate Body. Redhill Teaching Hub provides an Appropriate Body service, for this we use ECT Manager, find out more about our AB service offer here.
How to register
There are several steps to follow to register for the upcoming September cohort, depending on whether you have worked with Redhill Teaching Hub as provider of your ECF or AB service before.
These steps may include:
- Submitting your training information and reporting your AB service provider on the DfE Manage Training portal
- Registering new ECTs and Mentors
- Linking ECTs and Mentors
- Registering with our Early Career Framework Lead Provider EDT (Education Development Trust)
- Registering your ECTs on the ECT Manager software
- Paying for the AB service via the Redhill website

What happens once you have registered?
EDT will be notified about the registration of your ECT or Mentor by the DfE. Mentors will receive login details from EDT upon successful registration to allow them to complete their induction. ECTs will receive their login details from EDT upon successful registration, on or after 17th July.
If you plan to register, please save the date - Tuesday 17th September 2pm - 5pm, for the Redhill ECF Launch event for new ECTs joining the programme.
