Teacher training at Diverse Association

At Diverse Association for Professional Learning, we have a well established programme of ITT and work  with several providers to give our trainees the opportunity to gain qualified teacher status (QTS), a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) and masters credits in primary teaching or a number of secondary subjects.

Our aim is to not only train people to become well qualified teachers, but also to become outstanding in their phase or subject specialism.

We offer the following two routes:

• School-led PGCE known as School Direct
• University-led PGCE

For both routes into teaching it is useful to have built up a number of school experience days.

These are a good way to find out if teaching is for you, and gives you opportunity to spend time in different schools. We offer days both in primary and secondary settings through our school experience programme.
